Autumn In Twilight

By lyricsoftwo.com

Tinge of orange, shadows of night

Autumnal hues set in twilight

A gust of wind, swirls brisk and cold

Awakens strewn leaves, red, green, gold

Beneath dried twigs, across the lane

A pigeon perched on a window pane

A daily task the pigeon holds

To watch the night as it unfolds

Relaxed with ease, no sign of strain

Like watching clouds gather for rain

Glitters of dust, scattered around

The soil garnishes cold autumn ground

As night time falls, quiet respite

The pigeon waits in peaceful delight

A bird’s eye view of Autumn’s sights

One of many, long moonlit nights
