AUTUMN’S REPOSE

By lyricsoftwo.com

      Nature has taken a deep breath, and with gusting autumnal sighs of relief has shed away the heft of the year that’s now in the rear view. Tumbling away with strewn leaves are the remnants of days gone by. Storms have been weathered, dry spells overcome, and harsh winds survived, nature is now moving forward stronger. Hope is laying dormant with newly sown seeds ready to forge ahead in the ethereal sunlight, come spring. Not loosing a beat, but rising back up rejoining the rhythm and restarting the journey. A beautiful lesson in resilience at play. Let’s celebrate nature’s courage and strength as it releases the past to give way to new beginnings in, Nature’s Repose.  Hope you enjoy the poem everyone, and may you be greeted by fresh vistas with promising views in days to come.

Sonnet: AUTUMN’S REPOSE

  By Marie Helen Abramyan

Sun rays agleam through autumn’s weaving breathes;

Swirl soft betwixt twig and limb, right and left,

Tumbling and rustling are strewn leaves set free,

As cobwebs dance lightly on bare branched tree,

Strokes of red-bronze rust paint through nature’s way,

Tranquil scenes of harvest and shed at play,

Tired boughs unload heft from days agone;

Losing the worries that seemed to drag on,

Releasing the old, as change is abrew;

Sure as turning seasons will buds renew,

Soon rust will be green and green will flourish,

New days will come to cherish and nourish,

Fresh vistas shall rise awakened by hues,

Dormant dreams greeted by promising views.
