The past couple of years have been full of uncertainty, confusion, and worry. Needless to say, it has been quite the daunting time for us humans. But there remains a place on earth where life has always stayed clear eyed and steady, despite the chaos. I was reminded of that place when I took stroll through my garden during the peak of these times, on a summer’s day. It became instantly apparent to me that nature was steadily on track
The wander through my garden revealed nature to be ubiquitously unfazed, calmly composed, and robustly blossomed into full summer. The soothing warm breeze, beaming sun and lush flora were all thriving, alive and well. There are always small details, small ways, throughout the seasonal transitions that nature seems to show accordant and very fitting messages to us. Hence, a closer look at a beautifully grown ripe orange revealed what looked to be a smile.
Its natural markings were designed in such a way that it seemed nature was conveying the universal message of happiness, and trying to reassure that all is well, and there will be better days ahead. This cheerful looking orange in my garden inspired Nature Unimposed.
Hope you enjoy the poem everyone, and have a great week!

Nature Unimposed
By Marie Helen Abramyan
Somber eyes ponder, what this world will be? Better days ahead, sighs the wind swiftly; Flit, airy as my glides, fanciful, free, Change is in the air, summer’s warming spree; Embracing days chaotic, frozen, still, Frosted with fear, surrendered to fate’s will. For amidst nature’s tranquil seclusion; Strives humanity lost in confusion. To baffled minds mounding thoughts, like sand dunes Better days ahead, sing the sparrow’s tunes; Distant cheery welcome to this June’s glooms, I sing my songs in the zephyrs soft breeze; For busy butterflies to dance on trees, With unfazed rhythm to syncopation; A pause to sweeten the destination. Natural harmony and peace, surround, A part of us lost, yearning to be found. Anxious hearts strike, while ticking clock arms run Better days ahead, glistens the noon’s sun, Light bearer over land since time begun. I’ve illumed, been eclipsed, I’ve seen both sides; The moon and I have dances on heavy tides, Stay true to your nature, strong on your feet; For no hardship faced is beyond defeat. Tired eyes repose, yet in dream attune Better days ahead, agrees the evening’s wise moon, As the chorus of stars rise, twinkle, and festoon. I’ve faced the darkness with light and with love; Fallen to the sun, then risen above, Whether storming rain, or enduring tide;
I've never humbled behind clouds to hide. Don’t cower to fear, and never lose sight, Your power of will exceeds any plight. Weary minds slumber, as darkness is drawn Better days ahead, peaks the fog lit dawn; Glimmering hope of life moving on. Dark skies open to effervescent blue, Old hopes rise, reawakened anew. Beams raise somber eyes, to bright instead; For better will be the days ahead.
